Mary B. Watson, 64 of Lakewood, PA, died on Friday, April 30, 2015 at Moses Taylor Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Richard J Watson, of 42 years. The couple married on July 8, 1972.

Born on May 10, 1950 in Lackawanna County, she was the daughter of the late Carl A. Rickard and Ruth J. Moran.

She was Baptized at St. John The Evangelist Church in Honesdale. She attended, the former, Honesdale Catholic School and graduated from Honesdale High School. She worked at Wayne County Courthouse before becoming a housewife and mother.

Mary loved all animals but particularly enjoyed riding her horse. Her favorite past-times were playing the lottery and watching game shows on TV. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who will miss her greatly.

She is survived by her husband, Rich; son Jeffrey Watson and wife, Sarah of New York; daughters, Amy Watson and partner, Margot Urquhart, and Nancy Watson of Lakewood; nephew,Keats Rickard of Abington and grandchildren, Jason Cruz and Sophie Watson.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Rickard, RN in 1997.

As per her request, cremation was held at Maple Hill Crematory in Archbald, Pa.

Funeral services will be held at the Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main Street, Honesdale, PA on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00am-1:00pm. Interment will be held at St. John’s cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431.
