Marlene D. Rodger, 78 of Equinunk and formerly of Levittown, PA, died on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Rodger on June 27, 2011. The couple married on June 17, 1961.

Born on June 5, 1942 in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lena (Zlota) Harrison.

Marlene worked in health care for 25 years in the Bucks County area before retiring to Equinunk in 2005.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, cruising, and visiting with friends at the Senior Center in Honesdale. Marlene also was a well known baker amongst her family, who especially enjoyed her apple pie. Most of all, Marlene loved spending time with her family and looked forward to everyone being together.

Surviving are her children, Karen Kappler and husband Kevin of Uniondale, Kathy Drobnich and fiancée Joe Scott of York, PA, Michael Rodger and wife Annette of Ft. Myers, FL, Kristine Parello and husband Richard of Newtown, PA, Kimberly Nadeau and husband Scott of Winthrop, ME and David Rodger of Equinunk. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kevin, Kerri, Kyle, Sandra, Brandyn, Kelly, Zachary, Victoria, Daulton, Devin and Raelynn.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale, PA.
