Marion A. Mang, 82, of Honesdale, died on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Geisinger CMC in Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Merlin R. Mang. The couple married June 27, 1953. Born on January 5, 1932 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Melody Theobald. She was a graduate of Lake Ariel High School, class of 1949. She later worked for Dale Sportswear and Katz Underwear Factory. A hard worker, Marion enjoyed staying busy. She especially enjoyed working in her flower garden. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was kindhearted and always there to help. She was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. Also surviving is her daughter Jean Manganello and husband Edward of Honesdale; her sisters Helen McCann and husband Donald and Jean Theobald all of Lake Ariel; her brother Jack Theobald and wife Pauline of Hawley; her grandson Robert E. Manganello of Waymart; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 11th at St. John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Wednesday from 4 to 7.
