Marie S. Pritchard, 90, of Honesdale, died on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Pritchard. The couple married on June 19, 1954.

Born on January 9, 1928 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Herron Seelig. She was a graduate of Honesdale Catholic High School and later worked at AT&T as an operator for 10 years.

A loving housewife and mother, Marie also enjoyed gardening and family vacations. She also loved playing cards and trips to the casinos with her sister and niece.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.

Also surviving are her sons Donald Pritchard Jr. of Honesdale, David Pritchard of Nashville, TN, Michael Pritchard of Langhorn, PA and Joseph Pritchard of Nashville, TN; her daughter Susan Pritchard of Bloomsburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Louis, Jack and Francis Seelig and her sister Ruth Seelig Brennan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 13th at St. John the Evangelist Church at 10 am. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Honesdale. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Monday, 4 to 7.
