Mary Irene Yazdzik Eisele
M. Irene Eisele, 86, of Hawley, passed away Monday evening, September 13, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore, PA surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 13, 1935 at the Wayne County Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stefania Yazdzik. She was a 1953 graduate of Hawley High School and a former member of St. Joseph’s Parish in White Mills, PA, where she taught CCD classes and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a current member of Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley, PA. Irene served on the White Mills School PTA for many years and worked with the Elections Bureau as well. Irene enjoyed attending church services, class reunions, shopping at yard sales, and being with family.
Her greatest joy was her family. Irene was married for 55 years to her husband Walter who pre-deceased her in 2009. Leaving behind a legacy to be proud of…Irene is survived by her six children: Kurt, Karen, Brenda, Mark, Eric, Jenifer and their spouses; 14 grandchildren and their spouses; 14 great grandchildren (with two more on the way!)
The family thanks all the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart of Dunmore for the excellent care they gave Mom during the last few weeks.
As per her request, cremation was held at Maple Hill at Salem Crematory. A Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley, PA On Thursday, September 16th at 10 ) AM. Interment will be in Indian Orchard Cemetery. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St., Honesdale, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St., Dunmore, PA 18510 or www.hospicesacredheart.org.
