Louise S. Haberthuer, 97, of Easton, PA and formerly of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Old Orchard Manor Care in Easton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Herman Haberthuer on October 6, 1996. Born on April 2, 1917 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Antoinette Sirianni. A loving mother and wife, she worked at Easton Garment Industry and Curtis Wright Aeronautics in Caldwell, NJ. Before retiring to Pleasant Mount, she and her husband raised their family in Paterson, NJ and later Rockaway, NJ. She was a faithful member of St. James Church in Pleasant Mount and later St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. She attended St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale daily and enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to church. Surviving is her son Joseph Peter Haberthuer of Bethlehem, PA; her daughters Janet Elaine Hahn and husband Wolfgang of Eagle River, AK, Elizabeth Louise Hanson and husband Gary of Kingston, WA and Veronica Haberthuer of Anchorage, AK; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Josephine Boccadoro, Anna Sirianni, Sally Van Ginneken and Pearl Quist; an infant brother Armando Sirianni. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 20th at 11am at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale. The family will receive friends at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 am.
