Louis “Buddy” Russell Lintner (80)

March 13, 1936 to August , 2016.

Louis died at the home of his daughter/caregiver; Bonnie Lintner Drake and her husband Lloyd who have cared for him since 2005, after a very lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Parkinson’s.

Born Friday, March 13, 1936 he was the son of Arthur “Chubby” Lintner and Marion Rogers Lintner.

He was preceded in death by parents Arthur “Chubby” Lintner and Marion Rogers Lintner, Sister Lois Bungay N.C., Sister Linda Rollison, Pa, Grandson, Cody Healey (FL)

He is survived by his children, Debra Jean Lamberti Lintner, FL; Russell Louis Lintner, PA; Dolores Ann DeSimone, PA/NY, Bonnie S. Drake, PA Grandchildren, Rachael Lamberti, FL, Rusty Lintner, PA, Kyle Lintner PA, Mason Lintner, PA, Jennifer DeSimone, NY, Anthony DeSimone, Jr. PA/NY, Brittany Drake, TX and Tanner Drake, PA, two Great Grandchildren; Richard Thomas Stevens, Jr., FL and Joseph Noah Ritchey, FL and Brother, Leo Lintner, PA.  Although married and divorced 7 times, his one true love was always his first wife, Jeanne Kyzer Lintner, PA.

Louis, was a hard worker, working on the family farm, at Chroma Tube in White Mills, and then was a self-employed Mason for the majority of his life in the Honesdale, he moved out West and lived in California and Oregon working for various companies, as an Independent Representative for National Telephone and Communications and a Pipe-liner.  He an avid, Softball player and pitched the majority of the time, he was very competitive, no matter what he was participating in, weather a volley ball game, horse-shoes, or whatever anyone wanted him to participate in.  He loved to dance mostly to country music, and boy could he polka or square dance, and even with his gruff voice loved to sing mostly gospel songs.  Everyone who knew him, knew he had a fierce temper, but they also knew he would help anyone in need of help when he was able.

His body was donated to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Humanity Gifts in order to help in the further study of these horrible diseases which ended taking his life, and after will be cremated and his ashes will be spread over the graves of his parents.

A “Celebration of the Life of Louis “Buddy” Lintner will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the home of his daughter, Bonnie Drake at 2318 Owego Turnpike, Honesdale, PA 18431. Friends and family may gather for starting at 2:00 p.m. to remember his life, share stories, memories and pictures and pay their final respects. At 6:30 p.m. a SERVICE will be held honoring his life.  (Food and beverages will be available will be available throughout day) Contact his daughter Bonnie at (570) 647-8685 if you need assistance with directions or have any questions. (Bring your favorite chair if you have one, although some seating will be available, they are not sure of the number of people attending).

The family would like to especially thank VNA (Visiting Nurse Association) of Lackawanna County for their assistance; a special thanks to Karen, Annie, Kellie, Mike and Dorothy for everything they did. Their assistance, caring and help was truly appreciated by Bonnie and her husband Lloyd.
