by his family. He would have celebrated his 91st birthday on September 5th.
Louis and his wife, Marion (Zukowski) Kowalczyk, celebrated 66 years of
marriage on August 25th. They enjoyed traveling together, spending time
with family and friends, and quiet evenings at home.

or a slice of homemade bread on a Sunday afternoon. Both would be enjoyed
with his family as a break from his cabinetry work or meticulously caring
for his home.

Veteran of World War II serving on the USS Furse DD 882. He was a devoted
lifetime member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus and Texas No. 4 Fire
Company. He was also a member of St. John’s/St. Mary’s Roman Catholic
Church and a founding member of St. Mary’s annual block party. Louis was a
dedicated Ford salesman for 55 years at Wayne County Ford. He took great
pride in his job, an ethic he passed on to his children.

Natalie Stella, Abigail and Lydia who will cherish countless memories,
moments and wisdoms shared over the years. He also enjoyed meeting his
great-grandchildren Miles, Quinn, Nash, Esme, Margaret, Albrecht and Beau,
whose faces he lit up with his whistles.
