Linda H. McElroy

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda Henderson McElroy, 78. Wife , mother ,
grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away Sunday February 12 th 2023 at Julia Ribaudo, after a
long battle with Alzheimer’s
She was born on February 23 rd 1944 in Saltville Virginia. She was the seventh child of eleven children to
John “Bill” Henderson and Nina Johnson Henderson.
She has left behind her husband of 59 years, William F. McElroy, son Jeffrey L. McElroy and his wife Dina
Laquaglia of Los Angeles, California and daughter Tina M. Darlington and her husband Daryl of
Honesdale Pennsylvania. Plus two grandsons Jack F. McElroy and Riley Q. Darlington.
She had a great love for her large family and loved gathering with siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
After working many years in retail she was thrilled to be able to open her own daycare. Where she spent
28 years caring for and loving the many children that came through the doors of TLCARE.
Linda was preceded in death by her grandson Aiden Thomas Darlington.
Her family would like to thank Julia Ribaudo for the loving care she received there for the last seven
years.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Sunday February 26 th at White Mills Community Church.
Visitation between 3pm and 4pm and a service following.
