Leslie K. de Moose Hermans, 74, of Honesdale and formerly of Staten Island, NY, died on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.  She is survived by her husband, Roger B. Hermans of Honesdale, PA  The couple would have celebrated their 6th anniversary on May 23rd, but have been together the last 18 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman de Moose on January 11, 2001.
Born on December 10, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Katherine (Barry) Wildes.
A registered nurse, Leslie began working at NYU and later worked at Staten Island Hospital.  After moving to Honesdale in 1988, she worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital and Ellen Memorial before retiring from Holy Family Residence in Dunmore.
Leslie was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and sudoku.
Also surviving are her sons Norman de Moose and wife Rachel of Cypress, TX and George de Moose and wife Katarina Pataky of Bridgewater, NJ; her step-daughter Mary Anne Gruen and husband Arthur of New York; step-sons Brian and Jeffrey Hermans; her sister Marilyn Schweitzer and husband Daniel of Staten Island, NY; her brother George Wildes and wife Jane of South Farmingdale, NY; grandchildren Nora, Stephen Moffitt, Katarina and Grace de Moose; step-grandchildren Angel, Bradley and Jason Hermans; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 21st at St. John the Evangelist Church, Honesdale at 10 am.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Thursday, 5 to 8.
