Kenneth Victor Crum Sr., 93, of Honesdale, died on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, the former Dorothy Rietta Snover.

Born on May 17, 1932 in Butler, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Mary (Marion) Crum.

For over 70 years, Kenneth owned and operated his farm on Siko Road, where he raised dairy and beef cattle with unwavering dedication. His commitment to fostering strong community ties was evident in his service as Oregon Township Supervisor and Road Master. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Grange and attended St. Joseph’s Church in Rileyville.

His love for reading the newspaper kept him informed about the world, and he often shared his insights on current events with family and friends, earning the affectionate title of the family expert on world issues.

He leaves a legacy of hard work, integrity and deep-rooted values.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kristine Bristow and husband Richard of VA, Kenneth Crum Jr. and wife Suzanne of Honesdale, Maedine Woods of Honesdale, Patricia Rossbach and husband Charles of Honesdale, Walter Crum and wife Julie of Honesdale, Pamela Steffen and husband Peter of Hawley, Jacqueline Egan and husband Ron of WI and Matthew Crum and wife Jen of Honesdale; 35 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Lee Crum.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 1pm. Friends may visit on Thursday, 11 until the time of service. Interment will follow in East Dyberry Cemetery.
