Obituaries » Kathleen Conrad Share your Memorial with Family & Friends It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Kathleen Marie Coligan-Conrad of Honesdale, on January 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Kathleen was born on December 16, 1946, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, to Patrick Coligan and Marie Agnes Nonnenmacher Coligan. In 1989, she married VA (Vince) Conrad, and they shared 32 years of marriage until his passing in 2021. Kathleen was blessed with six children: Thomas Guinther Jr., Erin Marie (Guinther) Temarantz, Richard Thomas Guinther, Kelly Ann (Guinther) Roberts, Jason Michael Guinther, and Kathleen (Katie) Ann Guinther. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her love, compassion, and devotion will continue to live on in all of us. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Agnes Coligan, her husband VA Conrad, and her much-loved son, Jason Michael Guinther. Kathy had a passion for gardening, often spending her evenings in her large garden, chatting with neighbors about theirs. She also had a special talent for crafting pine cone wreaths, which were displayed in many local businesses. Kathleen worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital for 18 years before continuing her passion for caring for others in their homes. Through this work, she made lasting, meaningful impacts on the lives of countless patients, families, and colleagues. Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her. A devoted Christian, she remained steadfast in her beliefs and faith throughout her life. As we gather in the coming weeks to honor and celebrate our mother’s life, we kindly ask that you carry forward her legacy by practicing the ultimate forms of unselfish love and forgiveness to others. Our family will receive friends on Thursday January 16th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main Street Honesdale Pa, 4-7 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 17th at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10am.
