Obituaries » Juanita H. Diehl (Hocker) Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Juanita H. Diehl, 92, of Damascus, died on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Diehl on May 11, 2005. She was born on August 17, 1929 in Milanville. She was a loving and amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family meant everything to her. She was a lifelong dairy farmer’s wife and was a lifetime member of the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Baptist faith. Surviving are her daughters Bonny Dubson and husband Ira of Damascus, Inez Rickard and husband Bert of Honesdale; her sons W. Donald Diehl and wife Eileen and Louis Diehl and wife Jule of Damascus; grandchildren Matthew Salzameda; Jason and Chris Rickard; Gregory Diehl; Nicole Mullen; Ryan, Adam & Eric Diehl; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Myrtle Hocker; sister Inez Olver; brothers George Hocker and Willard Hocker. Per her request, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Juanita’s memory to the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
