Joseph Michael Kandrovy, 49, of Preston Park, died peacefully at Wayne Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 1, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

Born on May 14, 1973 in Tunkhannock, PA he is the son of Patricia Klepadlo Kandrovy of Honesdale and the late Joseph R. Kandrovy who died June 17, 2016.

Joe was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1992.  Furthering his education, Joe attended Penn State Mont Altowhere he earned an associate degree for Forestry.  Throughout the past decade, Joe thrived as a forester.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman as he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting. He truly found a sense of peace sitting in the woods and shared a wealth of knowledge as a sportsman. Additionally, he found joy in cooking and sharing how to enhance a dish with a particular spice.  He loved the games of baseball and basketball, playing both in high school and afterwards, and shared his excitement for the games as a little league coach.

In addition to his mother, Joe is survived by his daughter, Logan Kandrovy of Washington DC; his son, Dayton Kandrovy of Tunkhannock; his sister, Jenelle Gaffney and husband Kevin of Downingtown; his brother, John Kandrovy and wife Alison of Honesdale; nieces and nephews, Madison, Colin, and Natalie Gaffney, and Riley and Aubrey Kandrovy; and his companion, Alison Hoff of Palmyra.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Creekside Gardens, 4 Village Lane, Tunkhannock, PA.  Family and friends will gather from 5:00-8:00PM.  Please plan to spend a few hours with the family to celebrate and remember Joe.  Sharing of stories and tributes will start at 6:00PM.

Donations in memory of Joe can be made to the American Cancer Society and Arbor Day Foundation.

Burial services will be private at the convenience of his family.  Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
