Obituaries » Joan H. Rawlins (Hoaglund) Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Joan H. Rawlins, RN, 89, of Honesdale, died on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Rawlins on October 12, 2001. Born on August 25, 1935 in Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Esther (Nordstrom) Hoaglund. A registered nurse, Joan worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital and retired from Dr. Matthew Kuber’s office. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale and the Red Hat Society. Joan loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Kathrine Clark and husband, Larry of Honesdale; her son, Richard Rawlins and wife Jessica of Honesdale; her foster son, Greg Sampson of Waymart; daughter-in-law, Blanch Sampson of Beach Lake; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel Rawlins and sisters, Evelyn Schiffel and Dorothy Gauch and granddaughter, Tara Clark. Funeral services will be private.
