Obituaries » Janet Golden (Borsdam) Burial Date January 6, 2025 Place of Service St. John\'s Lutheran Church Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Janet Golden, 87, of Honesdale, died on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Golden on April 18, 1982. Born on April 26, 1937 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaretta (Thomas) Borsdam. For many years, she worked at Katz’s Factory and retired from The Wayne Independent. Janet was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and crocheting. Surviving is her daughters, Martha Caruth and husband Mark of Moscow and Kristina Murray and husband Thomas of Honesdale; her brother, David Borsdam of Honesdale; grandchildren, David Caruth and wife Dianna, Adam Caruth, Elizabeth Forti and husband James, Kimberly Seifert and husband Jonathan and Matthew Kromko and wife Jessica; great grandchildren, Chase Kromko, Ayden Caruth, Grace Seifert, Annabelle Caruth and Kathryn Seifert. She is also survived by her grand dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Barry and her brother, Myron Borsdam. Janet’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ellen Memorial for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 6th at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale at 11 am. The family will receive friends on Monday in church, 10 until the time of service. Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale. Arrangements by Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale.
