Copeland Share your Memorial with Family & Friends James Trimble Copeland, 71, of Willow Street, PA and formerly of Little Meadows, PA, died on Monday, August 19, 2024 at The Glen At Willow Valley. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, the former Darlene Rosenkrans. The couple married on June 28, 2014. He was born on May 25, 1953 in Abington, PA. He was the son of the late John E. and Lois (Trimble) Copeland. Jim attended Ursinus College where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Lambda fraternity and developed many lifelong friendships. He then attended Temple University and received his physical therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. For 34 years, Jim worked as a physical therapist at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. He precepted numerous physical therapy students and ran educational programs for nurses and hospital staff. He thoroughly enjoyed his work helping his patients recover from injury and illness. Jim also enjoyed working with his colleagues and the friendships he made during his career. After retiring to Willow Valley, Jim became a committee member of the Team Members Education Fund at Willow Valley which provided many scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. He was proud to be part of a program that could help others. Jim took the time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures such as nature, fishing, gardening, cooking, eating, traveling, pets, and family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Emily Vazquez and husband Matt, Lancaster, PA, Aaron Copeland and wife Jessie of Strafford, NH, and Molly Copeland and husband Ryan Hudek of Granger, IN; his brother, John Copeland and wife Michelle of FL; his sister, Nancy Winterer and husband Frank, of NH; his grandchildren, Nathan, Luke, Henry, George and Oscar; stepchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Copeland Latta. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 1 pm. The family will receive friends, noon until the time of service.
