Grace A. (Schuman) Kean 94, of Equinunk, PA went to heaven on Sunday, September 20th, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born on November 25, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Rose) Schuman.

A loving mother to three daughters, Leona White and (Jack Long) Leora Dumond, Lois and (Wally) Young. One daughter-in-law, Diane Kean. She also leaves behind one sister, Ilene Meckle, 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Wilfred J. Kean, one son James W. Kean, one grandson, Little Wally and one sister, Leah Branning.

Grace was a kind, loving lady who enjoyed being with her large family and many friends. An active member of the Equinunk United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She greatly enjoyed the company of monthly luncheons with the special friends. A member of the Pine Mill Community Hall Association and a long time friend to the Last Chance Hunting Club. A past member of the Henrietta Rebecca Lodge 554, and Equinunk Sportsman’s Association.

Services will be at the Equinunk United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 26th with visitation from 12:00-2:00pm and a memorial service at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at the Pine Mill Cemetery. Everyone is invited to join the family for a luncheon at the Pine Mill Community Hall.

Family requests donations in Grace’s memory be made to the Equinunk United Methodist Women c/o Helen Schuman, 38 A Lordville Road, Equinunk, PA 18417.
