George R. Uhlich, 71, of Damascus and Englewood, FL, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Renee Morando. The couple married on June 27, 1964.

Born on August 19, 1943 in New York City, he was the son of the late George and Cecilia Walsh Uhlich. He served in the US Army and later graduated from Pace University with a degree in Business Administration. He retired from the Ludwig Group for Cancer Research where he was the Administrative Vice President.

George enjoyed making models, reading and crossword puzzles, as well as
kayaking and watching the activity of the birds and animals both on and
around the lake in Damascus and the pond behind their Florida home. Most
of all, he loved his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband,
father and grandfather.

Also surviving are his sons Richard Scott Uhlich and wife Erica Lee and Christopher James Uhlich and wife Laura all of Charlotte, NC; his brother Stephen Uhlich of Flushing, NY; his gradsons Kyle Richard Uhlich and Ryan Scott Uhlich.

As per his request, private cremation services are being arranged by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale, PA.
