George Dendrinos, Bethany PA, formerly of Beach Lake PA passed away on February 16, 2021 at the age of 91 after a brief illness and a very well lived life. George was the son of the late Thomas and Athena Dendrinos. He was born and raised in New York City where he attended NYC Public Schools, Adelphi College and Columbia University. He taught history at the School Street School in Boonton NJ until his retirement when he settled in Beach Lake. George also served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1954 and was stationed in Greenland.

George is survived by his beloved daughter Kim (Russell) Noncarrow and grandchildren Alex and Katie of Allendale, NJ. He is also survived by his beloved nephew Chris Miltiades (Ruth) of West Chester, OH and niece Melissa Anderson (Rex) of Colorado Springs, CO and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Miltiades.

George loved to cook, putter in his garden, write and spend hours on his computer. We will miss his sharp wit and intellect which he maintained until his death as well as his jokes, letters and history lessons. The family feels blessed to have found Bethany Village where George spent his final years. We would like to thank all of the angels on earth at Bethany for the loving and incredibly compassionate care they provided. The entire staff worked tirelessly and selflessly to provide excellent care, particularly in the face of the pandemic. We are eternally grateful.

Services will be private due to COVID 19. Donations in his memory may be made to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Dr. Honesdale PA 18431 or the Bethany Village Resident Fund, 150 Noble Ln. Bethany PA 18431.
