Francis J. “Mike” Arnoldini, 98, formerly of Waymart, died at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center where he has been residing. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Anna Mae Costello on June 15, 2010. The couple married on June 2, 1956.

Born on June 8, 1919 in Rock Lake, PA, he was the son of the late Anton and Emma Flaim Arnoldini. At a young age he began working on the family dairy farm in Preston Township. He later worked at Farview State Hospital where he retired.

Mike enjoyed playing cards, traveling, hunting and gardening. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Waymart.

Surviving is his son Jerome “Jerry” Arnoldini and his wife Ellen of Honesdale; sisters-in-law Irene Arnoldini of Tunkhannock and Anne Arnoldine of Hancock, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Anton “Tony” Arnoldine and Louis “Pat” Arnoldini; sisters Mary Smith and Kathryn Redzich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 6th at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10am. Interment will follow in Canaan Corners Cemetery in Waymart. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Thursday, 3 to 6.
