Florence M. Frisbie, 94, formerly of Hawley, died on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart where she has been residing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Frisbie on March 3, 2009. The couple married on April 24, 1943.

Born on April 5, 1923 at the family home on Swamp Brook Road, she was the daughter and last surviving member of the Fred and Nellie Daniels DeReamer family.

Florence was a loving housewife and mother who enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

She was a faithful member of the Christadelphian Chapel in Honesdale.

Surviving are her sons Gerald Frisbie and wife Joanne of Honesdale and Ronald Frisbie of DE; daughters Janet Kinzinger and husband Bill of Ithaca, NY, Nancy Kutch and husband David of South Canaan and Karen Frisbie and husband Charlie of Hawley; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles and William DeReamer, sisters Viola Watson and Martha Runnyon and her grandson Robert Kinzinger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale at 11am. Interment will be in East Canaan Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Tuesday, 4-7.
