Florence Knehr Krempasky, 86, of Honesdale passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 with her family by her side. Florence was born on October 24, 1934 to Walter and Katherine Knehr.

Florence graduated from Honesdale Catholic High School in 1952. She had a leading part in the musical Sun Bonnet Sue to an overcrowded audience which included a performance for the Bishop. She received the Bishop Hafey award for the Junior Catholic Daughters & was Crowned the Blessed Mother in her senior year.

Florence was a senior operator & supervisor for Bell Telephone Company, she waitressed for over 20 years at Cordaro’s Restaurant and joined her son Daniel at Cherry Ridge Motors as Office Manager for 10 years.

Florence’s life revolved around her children, grand-children and great grand-children. Florence’s greatest accomplishment was raising her 6 children alone. Although it was a struggle, they were all so very happy. Florence had a passion for singing, dancing, and exercising. She sang with Carl Kennedy and the Country Kings band.

Florence was predeceased by her parents Walter & Katherine Knehr, her sister Katie Glosenger and brother Fred Knehr and her Beloved children Daniel Krempasky and Laurie Ann Krempasky-Hawkins.

Surviving are her children Andrew Krempasky and wife Michele, Richard Krempasky and wife Trisha, Cynthia (Povilitus) Foley and husband Tim Foley, Ronald Krempasky and his wife Theresa; 8 grand-children and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on September 7, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale at 10:00 a.m. with the interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements provided by Hessling Funeral Home Inc. 428 Main St. Honesdale, PA 18431.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
