Florence Lampart Gammerdinger, RN, 94, of Honesdale, died on  Sunday,
November 15, 2015 at her home.  She was preceded in  death by her
husband, Harry “Duke” Gammerdinger on October 15,  1957.  The couple
married on July  16, 1950.

Born on March 18, 1921 in  Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter  of the
late Jacob and Mabel Mantel Lampart.  The family moved  to Honesdale in
1931.  Florence graduated from Honesdale High  School in 1938, salutatorian

of her class.  In 1942, she  received her nursing degree from Robert
Packer Nursing School.   She was employed as a Registered  Nurse at
Wayne Memorial Hospital for 32 years before  retiring.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran  Church in
Honesdale where she enjoyed participating in the Needle  for Needs
quilting  group.  Florence also enjoyed volunteering at Red Cross  Blood
Drives.

Surviving is her son Bill Gammerdinger and wife  Nancy; her daughter
Gale Gammerdinger and partner Dave Marchal;  grandsons Tom and Will and
dear friend David Mill.

She was  preceded in death by her son Harry A. Gammerdinger Jr. on
October  15, 1990.

A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience
in St. John’s  Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale.  Arrangements by Hessling
Funeral  Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.

In lieu of flowers donations can be  made to St. John’s Lutheran
Church, 107 Seventh Street, Honesdale,  PA 18431 or Wayne County Area
Agency on Aging (for home delivered  meals), 323 Tenth Street,
Honesdale, PA  18431
