Winters, 62, of Honesdale, died on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Daniel R. Winters. The couple married on May 21, 1983. Born on April 11, 1962 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of Lyla (Carney) Hayes of Virginia and the late Robert Morgan. A trained chef, Florence began working at Cove Haven before managing the kitchen at Camp Skycrest. She enjoyed being in the kitchen and at home would bake birthday cakes for friends. She and Dan enjoyed gardening and canning the vegetables. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Danielle Winters of Honesdale; her brothers, Robert Morgan of NC, Lamont Hayes and Brad Hayes both of Honesdale; her sisters, Rebecca Robinson of Waymart, Dawn Schwab and Lyla Hayes both of Honesdale; many nieces and nephews.
