Obituaries » Elizabeth Soos (Newman) Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Elizabeth (Betty) Soos succumbed to her illnesses on March 3, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in spite of valiant efforts to save her. She is survived by her husband, Martin (Marty) Soos. Betty was born in Croydon, England on September 22, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Horace and Beatrice (James) Newman. She came to the USA in 1959. Prior to retirement, she had worked as a phlebotomist at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Teresa Vallata of Montvale, NJ, her son, Kevin Condon and his wife Eleanor of Ridgewood, NJ; a brother, Brian Newman and wife Myra of Bournemouth, England; three grandchildren, Ryan Vallata, Danielle Vallata, and Ben Condon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bert Newman and his wife Joyce and by her son Barry Condon. Betty always had a warm personality and infectious smile. She will be sorely missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her. As per her request, cremation will be held and there will be no public services.
