I always admired your Mom's courage and efforts not only to stay here in the U.S after losing your Dad, but to raise you into the man that you are today. I am well aware of what it takes by being blessed with parents that raised me, and then raising my own. I cannot imagine how hard it was for her doing it alone. She was so proud of you and your beautiful family and all that you have accomplished. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mike, Colleen ,Paige and Dana, Our thoughts and prayers are with you.Elfriede was a kind loving lady of great perseverance and determination. She accomplished her dream of seeing her son to exceed through school and college and as Frank Sinatra says She DID IT HER WAY. A job well done and she was so proud of Mike and what he has accomplished. As I look back through the years ,I remember how hard she had it to do it on her own without a Husband or father to help her along the way. I as a sister in law am also proud to have known her for so many years. May God welcome her to a new life of Joy and love with her heavenly family. We will miss you Elfriede and I am sending you a HUG,so don't duck except it with open arms for the last time. Love you Jean and Doug.

Mike, Colleen, Paige and Dana. We are so very sorry for the loss of this very special lady. As a Mom, Mike she worked so hard to provide for you.. she had to stay strong and have the courage and always had to push herself , because she lost your Dad so soon after they moved home from Germany and I am sure she felt so alone as living in the US had to be so different than living in Germany. She always thought of you first Mike, and always did her best. All I can say I know how proud she was of you and all your accomplishments. I can just hear her telling your Dad about you. She always loved helping your family whenever she could.. she thought very highly of Colleen and those grandgirls she loved with all her heart. She would always talk about Paige and Dana and oh how proud she was of them. Her face lit up when their names were brought up. Elfriede you treated and loved my boys and they all knew how special you were. We will miss you for sure Elfriede. I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish. Until we meet again, love you and miss you. Mike and family may you find comfort in knowing how much she was loved and loved you all. May God put his loving arms around yous and comfort you at this very difficult time. Love Barb and Tom and family.
