Elaine L. (Miller) Watson, 80, a resident of Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart and formerly of White Mills, died on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth F. Watson, Jr. in 1979. Born on August 12, 1934 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Vera Cooper Miller. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1953. Over the years, Elaine worked at Katz Underwear Factor, Amber Lingerie, Sherman Mills and Seams. She retired from Turkey Hill where she enjoyed meeting the customers and friendships she made. She was a member of the White Mills United Methodist Church and a former Auxiliary member. She enjoyed country music, her scanner, going out to dinner and was a great New York Yankees fan. Elaine had a great sense of humor, saving jokes to share with others. Most of all, she loved her family. Surviving is her son Kenneth Watson and wife Penny-Jo of Troy, IL; daughters Cindy Canfield and Cathy Myers of Honesdale; her brothers Frank Miller of Honesdale, Joseph Miller of Asheboro, NC, Richard Miller of Owego, NY and Bob Bartron of Mesa, AZ; a sister Joyce Miller of Honesdale; grandchildren Cheryl Nazar, Kenny Watson, Amanda Hedrich, Alexandria Bishop and Britton Myers; 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Nora Reid and brothers James, Bernie and Gerald Miller and Bill Bartron. As per her request, cremation will be held. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at the White Mills United Methodist Church at 11am. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Dr. Honesdale, PA 18431.
