Obituaries » Eileen M. Cook (Kelly) Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Eileen Marie Cook, 71, of Honesdale, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Cook, Jr. on November 5, 1997. The couple married on March 25, 1983. Born on August 3, 1949 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Elizabeth Catherine (Soete) Kelly. Following high school, she graduated from Johnstown School of Rehabilitation where she studied the culinary arts. For many years, Eileen worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital as a cook. Eileen was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale. She enjoyed cooking and had a vast collection of cook books and recipes. She is survived by her sister Barbara Derrick and husband Gerald of Scranton; step-sons Michael, Thomas and Steven Cook; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many cousins. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of her family.
