Edward J. “Tim” Robinson Jr. passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side on April 26th, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on September 12th, 1936, in Honesdale PA, to Edward J. Robinson Sr. and Olive Kline Robinson Haubrich.

Tim worked as a carpenter for over forty years and was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. His quick wit, storytelling, and explosive personality kept people laughing and ducking.  He grew up going to the Dirlam farm in Cherry Ridge, where he developed his love of farming.  Tim was a true local historian, knowing and talking about multiple generations of Wayne Countians.  Tim was a military policeman in the US Army, where he served his country proudly.

In addition to his parents, Tim is predeceased by his first wife Mary Ellen Eccles Robinson, children Michael Robinson, Kathleen Robinson, Edward “EJ” Robinson III, infant grandson, brother John Robinson, dear friend Otto Dirlam, and second wife Mary Jane Hancock Robinson.

Tim is survived by his sons Timothy Robinson of Honesdale PA and Thomas Robinson (wife Nancy) of Ohio; daughters Mary Erk (husband Michael) of Lakewood PA and Valerie Franceschini (husband John) of Lawrenceville NJ; daughters-in-law Linda Vonson Robinson of Honesdale PA and Nancy Gillow Robinson of Welcome Lake PA; 13 grandchildren: Holly Miszler, Kelly Kanas, Chad Robinson, Edward Robinson IV, Claire Robinson, Christian Erk, Daniel Erk, Matthew Franceschini, Isabella Franceschini, Angelina Franceschini, Kelsie Robinson, Kodi Robinson, Karly Robinson; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 step-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister Mary “Sash” McGall (husband Jim).

A special thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center, as well as Wayne Memorial Hospital and Hospice care.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm; and a memorial service will be held on May 2nd at 11:00 am, both at Hessling Murray funeral home, 428 Main St., Honesdale PA.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Honesdale.

Memorial contributions can be made to Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center, 1404 Golf Park Drive, Lake Ariel, PA 18436.

Rest in peace, Tim. Your legacy and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
