Donna Rose Shelton, 74, of Honesdale, died on Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home.

Born on November 10, 1947 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Rosephus G. (Bishop) Smith. Following high school, Donna attended William and Mary College in Virginia. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital after 43 years of working as a laboratory technician.

She was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale and participated in their Needles for Needs group. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and local food pantries.

Donna enjoyed crafting, gardening and was always willing to help someone in need.

Surviving are her sons, Patrick Shelton and wife Leyna of Honesdale, Jeremy Shelton of Japan and Timothy Shelton and companion, Callie McGinnis of Honesdale; grandchildren, Samantha, Sierra, Emma, Skyler, Payton-Rogue, Brody, Kendall and Oakley.

She was preceded in death by her son Randolph “Randy” Shelton.

Friends may visit Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale on Tuesday, 4 to 7. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Honesdale.
