Chester A. Crum, born on December 3, 1923 passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2015 with his family beside him in Beach Lake, Pa 18405.

Chester was a farmer most of his former life in Milanville, PA. He was also a construction worker and stone mason having built many homes in the area for friends and family.

Chester and his loving wife, Frances D. Decker Crum celebrated 70 years of marriage on January 27, 2015.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jack A. Crum of Natural Bridge, Virginia and daughter, Donna Lee Gohl of Olyphant, PA.

A daughter, Diana J. Daub and sons, James R. Crum, Earl M. Crum and Gerald C. Crum reside in the immediate area. They were blessed with 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11:00am by Rev. Theresa Doughty of Hospice Advantage at the Calkins Union Cemetery, Calkins, PA. A luncheon will follow at the Calkins Union Baptist Church fellowship hall in Calkins, PA. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.

Donations may be made in memory to the Preston Volunteer Ambulance, Narrowsburg, NY, 12764 or the Calkins Baptist Church, 527 Calkins Rd, Milanville, PA 18443.
