Cecelia Irene Jones, 88, of Tyler Hill, PA, died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Sgt. Homer Benjamin Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police on June 23, 2005. The couple married on June 7, 1952. Born May 17, 1926, she was the daughter and last surviving member of the Joseph and Anna Fotta Ravina family. She was a graduate of Freeland High School and became a beautician. After marrying her husband, she focused on raising her family being a housewife and mother. Prior to moving to Tyler Hill, Cecelia was a member of the Mount Pocono United Methodist Church and for the past eight years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Stroudsburg and Harrick Green Chapter 198. Surviving are her daughters Linda Jones Dooley and husband Frank of Tyler Hill and Carolyn Jones Gregorski and husband Paul of Lake Ariel; her grandchildren Megan Fuller, Jillian Pruitt, Lauren Hargraves, Corinne Wickline and Paul Gregorski II; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church of Damascus, 1678 River Rd. Damascus, PA 18415. The family will receive friends in church from 12:30 to service time. Interment will follow in Keokee Cemetery, Paradise Twp., PA.
