Carl F. Davis, 77, of Honesdale, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Carol Rickert. The couple married on May 2, 1970.

Born on April 19, 1943 in Beach Lake, he was the son of the late Emory and Betty (Bass) Davis. He was a US Army veteran who served in Vietnam.

Carl began his career as a repairman for Erie Lackawanna Railroad which later became Conrail. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.

An outdoorsman, Carl enjoyed hunting. Carl grew Christmas trees and enjoyed selling the during the holidays. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and coaching missy softball. A Nascar and wrestling fan, he like watching the races and matches on television. He and Carol loved to travel and visited all 50 states.

Also surviving are his sons Adam Davis and wife Tracy and Justin Davis and wife Laura all of Honesdale; his daughters Christina Davis Cox and husband Michael Cox of Honesdale and Melissa Davis and companion Mark Flynn of Justus, PA; his mother-in-law Norma Rickert; brothers-in-law Dan, Chuck, Joe and Jim Rickert; sister-in-law Jean Rickert; grandchildren Jacob Kuhn, Jeremy Jacobsen, Heaven Pagnotti, Amanda, Adison, Siena and Brycen Davis; several nieces and nephews.. Also a grandson due in Apirl, Gavin Cox.

He was preceded in death by his brother Harold Davis and sister Linda Wadge; father-in-law Bernie Rickert Sr. and brother-in-law Bernie Rickert Jr..

Following cremation, private memorial services will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.
