Brittney R. Carnrike

Brittney R. Carnrike, 36, of Hawley, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born on December 17, 1987 in Norwich, NY, she is the daughter of Patricia Ann (Stevens) Carnrike. She has worked at several places in the area.
Brittney loved to cook and bake. She was a talented artist who enjoyed to paint. She was a loving and supportive mother to her children. She also loved animals and wildlife. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and bubbly personality who was always there to help anyone in need. She loved spending time and traveling with her boyfriend, George.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her boyfriend, George Snyder with whom she resided; her children, Alexander, Lillyann and Landon Hadden; her brother, Joseph Shapiro; her sister, Lisa Shapiro; maternal grandmother, Jo-Ann Wilson; paternal grandmother, Janet Crandall; a nephew, Xavier Shapiro; a niece, Renesmee Shapiro; her aunts, Denise Nower and Analisa Carnrike; her cousin, Andrew. She is also survived by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Henry Stevens and paternal grandfather, Hillis Crandall.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8th at Hessling Murray Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 7 pm. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home, 4 until the time of service.
