Betty-Ann M. Mill (Kiefer)

Betty-Ann Marie Mill, 65, of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Regional Hospital in Scranton. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gerald E. Mill. The couple married on July 31, 1971.

Born on December 29, 1954 in East Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Alma Lynott Kiefer.

Betty-Ann worked for many years as a nurses aid in several local nursing homes before becoming a private duty nurse. She was also the bookkeeper for the family business, H.R. Mill and Sons.

She enjoyed playing Bingo with her family and friends on the weekends. Most of all, Betty-Ann enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Christine Mill of Lakeville; her sister Kathy Hafler and husband Gary of Waymart; grandchildren Jerrah-Ann DeBree and Morgan DeBree; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Stakenburg; her infant brother Chester Kiefer Jr. and a baby son.

As per her request, cremation will be held and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale at 3:30 pm. Her family will receive friends on Friday, 2 until the time of service.
