Arlene Romich Lescinski, 84, of White Mills, PA died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Giesinger Medical Center in Danville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Andrew J. Lescinski Sr.. Born on March 14, 1930 in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Schuma Romich. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School. Born into the hotel and restaurant business she was an accomplish chef, dining room and kitchen manager, caterer for many years. Later she was a senior caregiver and supervisor. Arlene was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, White Mills and now Queen of Peace in Hawley. She was an accomplished church organist, choir director and pianist for many churches. Arlene loved singing with the Wayne Choralaires and her voice was always appreciated and she taught many to sing and play. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the White Mills Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Church of St. Francis in Narrowsburg organist and choir. She so loved her family foremost, her flower gardens, horses and the puppies at the home of her daughter Patty and husband Gary where she lived for the past 4 years. Arlene will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. Her talents and legacy live on in her family. She is survived by her three children, Patricia Brown and husband Gary of White Mills, Catherine Anke and husband Richard of Hawley, and Jean Waters, RN and husband Gary M. of Waymart; a sister Elizabeth Bauman of Lake Alden; a brother Robert Romich of Lake Wallenpaupack; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Andrew J. IV; a baby daughter Paula and her brother Harry (Sonny) Romich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12th at 10 am at Queen of Peace Church in Hawley. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
