Arlene Isabelle Beckwith, 95, of Waymart, died on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren C. Beckwith on August 6, 2011. The couple married on December 12, 1944.

Born on February 4, 1926 in Tanners Falls, she was the daughter of the late Hurley and Ellen Decker Carney. She was a member of the Waymart Baptist Church.

A loving housewife and mother, Arlene enjoyed crafting and fishing. She most looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. A large extended family, she also enjoyed when everyone was together at the annual family reunion.

Surviving is her son Gary Beckwith and wife Wanda of Waymart; her grandchildren Amy Bayley of Franklin, PA, Bonny Stinnard of Honesdale, Kevin Beckwith of Simpson and Blake Beckwith of Philadelphia; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Kathern Shelp of Moscow, Lowell Carney of Honesdale, Lyman Carney of Waymart, Shirley Kiefier of Forest City and Donna Tyson of Honesdale; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother Hurley Arthur Carney.

Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Wednesday, 10 to 12.  All attending must where a mask and are asked to brief while paying their respects to maintain social distancing.  Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of her family and interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
