After 99 incredible years on this earth, Anne
Motichka, the last of 14 children of Andrew and Anna
Puhalla Motichka, passed away on March 10, 2022.
Anne was born December 7, 1922 on the family farm
in Lake Ariel, PA,
She was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School in
Lake Ariel, PA. After graduation, she traded in her farm
girl boots and moved to New Jersey. She was employed
at RCA Tube Division in Woodbridge, NJ for 33 years
before retirement. She later worked as a security guard
for Wallace & Tiernan in Belleview NJ.
After all of Anne’s siblings passed away, the Senior
Citizens of Union, NJ became her second family where
she made many friends. Always the life of the party, she
loved to bowl, polka, take bus trips with fellow senior
citizens, and frequent the casinos. She loved creating
games for children to participate in at family reunions.
Anne lived life on her own terms and you could
always find her helping others. She was a curious, and
fun loving person with a great sense of humor. When
she was around, activity laced with surprises and humor
was always in order.
