Anita Joy Cousins (Kennedy)

Anita Joy Kennedy Cousins, 55, of Honesdale, PA passed away at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center on September 19, 2021, with her family by her side.  Anita was married to her devoted husband, Lawrence Cousins for over 30 years and he lovingly cared for her throughout her illness.

Born February 11, 1966, in Honesdale PA, she was the daughter of the late Alice Ann Wells and Daniel Kennedy.   In her younger years she enjoyed horses, animals, and her family’s farm.  Anita cherished her canine companions Maggie and Rachel who brought much love and companionship to both her and Larry.  She enjoyed crafting, baking, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.  She worked for Rogers-Olver-Polley Inc. Insurance Agency for over 20 years.   Anita was loving, caring, and always willing to help family and friends, who will miss her never ending smile.

Anita is survived by her husband Larry, of Honesdale PA, and her family Randy and Sandy Rowe, Tom and Kelly Cousins, Randy and Bonny Cousins, Rick and Kathy Cousins, Paulette Bronson, and Daniel Kennedy Jr., along with many nieces and nephews.

Anita bravely fought Alzheimer’s over the last several years and was most recently cared for at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center.  She was visited often by her family and treasured her daily visits from her loving husband Larry.  The family would like to thank the staff at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center for the excellent care to Anita and the unending support to Larry to the very end.
