Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle-Andrew James Carroll Jr.- at the age of 82. His long and brave battle with dementia ended at home on June 8, 2022, where he was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Andrew (aka. Andy, Big Jim, Mudduck, Brown, Pops) was born February 12, 1940, to the late Andrew James, Sr. and Elizabeth “Elsie” (Holl) Carroll of Honesdale, PA. He was the president of his senior class at Honesdale High School, and after graduating, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS WASP (3 years, 11 months & 17 days- but ….he wasn’t counting). Andrew was a lifelong member of the Texas Rod & Gun Club, where he enjoyed to hunt & fish, host a pig roast or clam bake, and spend time with family and friends. He loved to crack jokes & make people laugh with his infamous 1-liners (he was 5’17” after all) and share his life through stories with anyone who would lend an ear.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, with who he celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 3, 2022. Also surviving are his 5 children: A.J. and wife Kristine, Susan, Patty and s/o Jeff, Kim and s/o Chan, & Leah and fiancée Joe: 10 grandchildren: Michael, Brody, Chayni, Andy, Madison, Grace,Bryce, Rhayni, Daniel, and Lyndee: a great grandson Matthew; his brother Robert “Bob” Carroll; sister-in-law Jane Carroll Bunnell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and Daniel Carroll and sisters Constance Wash and Margery Ordnung.

A celebration of life/memorial service will be held at the Seelyville Fire Hall on July 16, 2022 from 1:00-5:00. The family requests that donations be made to Damascus Township Ambulance and or Equinunk Fire Department in Andrew’s honor.
