Rosemarie Pabst, 83, of Damascus, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her sister Waltraud Fischer of Tautkirchen, Germany and her two sons, Herbert E. Pabst of Caldwell, NJ and Reiner M. Pabst of Boonton Township, NJ.

Born in Munich, Germany in 1934 she was the daughter of the late Maximilian and Rosa Birner. As a child, she lived through WWII and, as a young woman, she met her husband Herbert C. Pabst, a US Air Force Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War. They moved to the United States where they lived in Northern New Jersey for 35 years prior to retiring to Wayne County, PA where they lived for 25 years. She was the long-time shop owner of Kellam’s Bridge Antiques and was known and respected for her passion of antique collectables. Her friendly and personable demeanor made her a well-loved member of the community. She was smart, sharp and witty and will be remembered by all as such.

Also surviving are her daughters-in-law Julie K. Pabst and Kim A. Pabst as well as her 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Pabst, of 62 years of marriage.

As per her request, cremation will be held and interment will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale, PA.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance, PO Box 63, Damascus, PA 18415.
