Mary Ann “Annie” McCormick, 53, of Honesdale, died on Tuesday, March 20,
2018 at home. She is survived by her son, Jeb McCormick.

Born on July 1,1964 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of Jane Canivan
Rickard and the late Gerald F. Rickard. She was a graduate of Honesdale
High School, class of 1982. She then attended the University of Scranton
and the Philadelphia College of Optometry. Annie was a member of St. John
the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.

She is survived by her siblings; Paula Bennett, M.D. and husband Scott,
Mari Wilcox and husband Alan, Carol Lienert and husband Mark, Robert
Rickard and wife Suzanne, Gene T. Rickard and wife Melissa, Martin J.
Rickard and wife Sandra, Sibyl Irwin, M.D., Matthew Rickard and wife
Michelle, many nieces and nephews, as-well-as many aunts, uncles, and
cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, the late Gerard
“Gerry” McCormick, her father Gerald F. Rickard, and her Brother Luke C.
Rickard.

Her family will always remember her smiling and full of life, laughing
while growing up on the family farm. She was a wonderful daughter, sister,
and optometrist, but was most proud to be a mother to her kind and loving
son.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26th at St. John the Evangelist Church in Honesdale at 10 am. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Sunday, 1 to 4. Interment will be in Darling Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mary Ann
McCormick memorial fund for her son Jeb at Honesdale National Bank.
