Mary A. (Pawlowski) Wendrick, 94, of Honesdale, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center where she has been residing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace J. Wendrick on March 23, 1977.

Born in Scranton on September 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Alexandra Kowalczyk Pawlowski.

A housewife and loving mother, Mary also worked as a part time housekeeper for Sandy Beach Motel at Lake Wallenpaupack. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She especially enjoyed cooking during the Christmas holiday.

Mary was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in White Mills and recently attended St. John the Evangelist Parish in Honesdale.

Surviving are her sons Gerald Wendrick of Sewell, NJ and James Wendrick and wife Joni of Honesdale; her sister Jane Zawacki of Justice, PA; her grandchildren Jason, Eric, and Marlena Wendrick; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Wendrick; brothers Ignatius and Alex Pawlowski; her sisters Sophie Pawlowski and Ceil Zaloga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 19th at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Honesdale at 1pm. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Monday, 4 to 7.
