John “Jack” F. Kuhn, 79, of Honesdale, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his loving companion Martha Briggs of Honesdale. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen L. Sobolak on Mach 22, 1990.

Born on June 5, 1938 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late John M. and Bernice Smith Kuhn. He was a graduate of Honesdale Catholic High School and later served in the US Army in Korea during peacetime.

For 35 years, Jack was employed at the former Weniger Electronics in Honesdale.

He was a member of Bucks Cove Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the NRA. Jack enjoyed skeet schooting, playing pool and was a talented photographer.

Also surviving is his brother Lou Kuhn and Robbie Turner of Honesdale; his nephew Jeffrey Kuhn and wife Kristin of Albany, NY and their children Amelia, Logan, Theodore and Hazel; his niece Jennifer Johnson-Kuhn and husband Erik and their child Otto of Brooklyn, NY.

He was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen A. Jordan, RN on April 9, 2009.

A Funeral Blessing will be held at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale on Tuesday, October 31st at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday, 4 to 7.
