Christine S. Walker of Princeton, NJ passed away Sunday at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia, at the age of 67.  She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Walker, her son Thomas N. Walker, and her grandson Daniel Walker. Chris is also survived by her sister Pat McGinnis of Honesdale, her sister Fran Zegar of West Chester, and her sister Kit Gauss of Minnesota.  Additionally she is loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Chris, or “Gamma” as she was known to her grandson Daniel, was born in Newark, NJ, to the late Doris Cease and Joseph Smith.  She spent a large portion of her childhood in the Hawley and Honesdale areas.  Chris graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School in New Jersey, and lived most of her adult life in central New Jersey. She worked for the township of South Brunswick for twenty years, and from then until now worked for a medical group in Princeton.
Chris’s main passion in life was her family, extended family, and friends.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.  She enjoyed golf; and loved spending as much time as possible with her son and grandson in New Jersey, and with her sisters, nieces, and nephews in Pennsylvania.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Chris’s life celebration and visitation Friday, April 14 from 2pm to 4pm at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main Street, in Honesdale, PA. A service will be held at 4 o’clock following the visitation.  Interment will be a private ceremony at a date to be determined.
