Bonnie Marie Lintner, 68 of Honesdale, PA died peacefully on Friday April 28, 2017 in Beach Lake. She is survived by her five children, Robin, Raymond, Russell, Rhonda and Randi and granddaughter, Sophia.

Born August 8, 1948 in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Margaret “Marie” Hall and Warren Lahr. She lived her life for her children and her workplace of over 47 years, Avery Transportation.

Bonnie lived her early days on the family farm.  She was an avid student of the Class of ‘66 of Honesdale High School.  As a teenager, she began her life long career at Avery Transportation as an administrator and planner of trips for camps, school field trips and tours.  She loved all things buses.

Bonnie believed that a person would have to look long and hard to find anyone who loved their job as much as she did hers at Avery Transportation. She spent long days scheduling bus trips and the drivers who operate them. She will forever be remembered by the loyal customers who relied upon her passion, unequivocal work ethic, endless dedication and the countless hours she spent ensuring every detail was meticulously executed.

Her passion for her job was superceded only by the love for her children, and especially her only grandchild Sophia. She was a devoted mother, always making sure her children’s needs were met.  She never missed a game, leading the cheers for her children on every occasion.

Bonnie was also renowned for her talents in arts and crafts, including knitting, crafting, and was actively involved in 4H in her youth. She also had a passion for gardening and spent many a summer tending to her flowers. As an adult, she was active in the American Cancer Society raising money for a cause near to her heart, the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.  She continued in those endeavors and public service until her passing.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main Street, Honesdale. Visitation is 4 -6pm, with the memorial service to follow at 6pm.
